Frequently asked questions

Any questions? It’s normal. We know that choosing the right product for your dog isn't always easy.

That's why we've gathered the questions we receive most often about our products, orders, and shipping here.

And if you don't find what you're looking for, write to us. Behind GOS are real people (and the occasional dog supervising) 🐶

Which CORE should I choose: S or M?

The main difference lies in the rope thickness, the size of the carabiners, and the total weight.

CORE S: 7–8 mm rope, two small 7 cm carabiners, and an approximate weight of 170 g for the 3-meter version. Designed for small dogs or senior dogs that need a lighter leash.

CORE M: 10–11 mm rope, one small 7 cm carabiner and one large 9 cm carabiner. It weighs approximately 300 g for the 3-meter version and is our recommended option for medium and large dogs.

Not sure which one to choose? Write to us and tell us how much your dog weighs and we will help you.

Are they suitable for small dogs?

Yes! That is why we created CORE S.

It keeps all the features of CORE, but with a thinner rope and smaller carabiners to reduce weight. We recommend it for dogs up to approximately 10–12 kg and also for senior dogs that would appreciate carrying less weight.

Mind you, we do not recommend our leashes for mini dogs. For very small dogs, even CORE S might turn out to be too heavy. They will likely be more comfortable with an even thinner rope and lighter carabiners.

What strap length do I need?

It depends on your type of walk and how much space you want to give your dog.

3 meters: perfect for the city and daily walks. You can wear it crossbody and still give them space to explore.

5 meters: a good balance between freedom and convenience. Ideal if you combine city walks with parks and open spaces.

8–10 meters: for the countryside, mountains, and open spaces where your dog can enjoy much more autonomy without being off-leash.

15 meters: for maximum freedom, training, or walks in large open spaces.

And remember: all our CORE leads are multi-position, so you can adapt their configuration depending on the moment of the walk.

Are all CORE leashes hands-free?

Yes, all of our CORE leashes can be used hands-free, although, to be honest, we don't love calling them that.

We believe your dog's walk deserves your full attention. It's their time to explore, sniff, and enjoy the world, but it's also a moment of connection between the two of you.

That said, our leashes are multi-positional thanks to the GOS Slider ring. You can wear them crossbody, around your waist, in your hand, or adjust their length according to what you both need.

Can you use it hands-free? Yes. Does that mean forgetting about who is on the other end of the leash? We hope not.

How does the GOS Slider regulation point work?

Our GOS Slider uses a system based on a Prusik knot, a friction knot that locks onto the rope when under tension.

This allows you to slide the ring to adjust its position when needed, while the friction helps keep it in place when the leash is under tension.

Therefore, when you wear the CORE cross-body or around your waist, the system is designed to prevent the adjustment point from sliding and progressively tightening with tugs.

It is important to position and adjust it correctly before each walk and check that it is secure.

What is included with my CORE strap?

Your CORE arrives ready for a walk.

It includes its two carabiners, our GOS Slider ring, which allows you to change the leash configuration, and a velcro organizer to keep it neat when you are not using it.

Other accessories, such as the Dual Link or the GOS Picker, are sold separately unless otherwise indicated in the product or pack.

Are CORE diets suitable for large dogs?

Of course! CORE M is specifically designed for medium and large dogs.

We use approximately 10–11 mm thick rPET rope and 7075 aluminum carabiners, selected for their strength and lightness.

But strength doesn't depend solely on the materials. How they are joined also matters.

That is why the ends of our leashes combine knots, reinforced nanocord stitching, and protective pieces, creating a construction that is sturdy and crafted down to the last detail.

Because when we talk about the safety of our dogs, the small details matter. A lot.

What size harness does my dog need?

Our harnesses are available in different sizes and feature several adjustment points to ensure a comfortable and secure fit.

On each product page, you will find a size guide with the measurements you need to take.

We recommend always measuring your dog before purchasing, even if they usually wear the same size in other brands.

Are they between two sizes? Write to us with their measurements and we will help you choose.

How long does it take for my order to arrive?

We normally ship orders from our workshop in Barcelona within 24–48 business hours. We do everything possible to get them out as soon as possible.

But there is something you should know: we are a small brand and we hand-make every production run and prepare every order by hand, right after your purchase.

We don't have a warehouse full of boxes waiting to go out, so during promotions or periods of high volume, we may need a little extra time.

Once shipped, you will receive an email with the tracking information. The delivery time will depend on the destination and the shipping method selected.

Thank you for supporting a slightly more conscious way of producing.

What happens if I cannot pick up my order?

If your order is waiting at a collection point, you will have a set period of time to pick it up before it is automatically returned.

If the package is returned to us because it was not collected, we can reship it to you, but the return and new shipping costs must be paid before the reshipment is made, provided that the return is attributable to the recipient.

If you know that you will not be able to pick it up in time, write to us as soon as possible. We will try to help you whenever it is within our power.

Can I exchange or return a product?

Of course! You have 14 calendar days from the moment you receive your order to notify us that you wish to return it.

You may examine and try out the product with the care necessary to ensure it is suitable, just as you would in a physical store. If it has been used beyond what is necessary and has lost value, a depreciation may be applied.

If you need to change a size, color, or model, write to us and we will explain how to handle it.

You can check all the details in our returns policy.

What happens if it breaks or I have any issues with my product?

First: stop using it, especially if the problem affects any part related to your dog's safety.

Then, write to us explaining what happened and, if you can, attach some photographs.

We design and manufacture our products to last, but we know that problems can arise. We will review your case and, if there is a non-conformity covered by the legal warranty, we will manage the appropriate solution at no cost to you.

And even if some time has passed since your purchase, we prefer that you write to us. We are interested in knowing how our products age in real life and in helping you whenever we can.

How do I wash my leash or harness?

Dogs, mud, puddles, and adventures. We know that sooner or later, they need to be washed.

For regular care, we recommend washing your leash or harness by hand with lukewarm water and mild soap, removing any large debris first.

Rinse it well and let it air dry completely, avoiding direct heat sources.

Avoid bleach, fabric softeners, and harsh products that could damage the materials.

And a quick tip: take the opportunity to check the condition of the stitching, rope, buckles, and carabiners from time to time. Taking care of your gear is also part of taking care of your dog.
