Frequently asked questions

Which CORE should I choose: S or M?

The main difference between CORE S and CORE M is the rope thickness, the size of the carabiners, and therefore, the total weight of the leash.

CORE S uses an approximately 7–8 mm rope and features two small 7 cm carabiners. In its 3-meter version, it weighs approximately 170 g, making it a much lighter option for small dogs or dogs that benefit from carrying less weight.

CORE M uses an approximately 10–11 mm rope and combines one small 7 cm carabiner and one large 9 cm carabiner. At 3 meters, it weighs approximately 300 g and is our recommended option for medium and large dogs.

If you are unsure between the two, write to us telling us how much your dog weighs and we will be happy to help you choose.

Are CORE leashes suitable for small dogs?

Yes. That is why we created CORE S.

It maintains the same multi-position system as CORE, but uses a thinner rope and two smaller carabiners to considerably reduce weight.

For reference, we recommend CORE S for dogs up to approximately 10–12 kg, as well as for senior dogs that may benefit from a lighter leash.

Mind you, we do not recommend it for mini dogs. For very small and lightweight dogs, even our CORE S may be too heavy, and they will likely be more comfortable with an even thinner rope and smaller carabiners.

What strap length do I need?

It depends on your dog, your environment and, above all, how you like to walk.

3 m → Our most versatile option for the city and daily walks. It allows you to wear it crossbody while still giving your dog enough space to explore.

5 m → If you want to give them more freedom while maintaining a length that is easy to manage. One of our favorites for all kinds of walks.

8–10 m → For the countryside, mountains, beach or open spaces where your dog can enjoy much more autonomy without needing to be off-leash.

15 m → For maximum freedom, training or large open spaces.

Plus, CORE is multi-position: you can change its configuration and adapt the length according to the moment of the walk.

What is included with my CORE strap?

Your CORE arrives ready to go for a walk.

It includes its two carabiners, our GOS Slider ring to allow for configuration changes, and a velcro organizer to keep the leash bundled when you're not using it.

Other accessories you may see in our photos, such as the Dual Link, GOS Picker, additional rings, or keychains, are sold separately unless otherwise indicated on the product or pack.

Are CORE leashes suitable for large dogs?

Yes. CORE M is designed especially with medium and large dogs in mind.

We use rPET rope that is approximately 10–11 mm thick and 7075 aluminum carabiners, a material that allows us to achieve great strength while keeping weight as low as possible.

But a leash's strength doesn't depend solely on the carabiner. Construction matters, too.

That is why the ends of our CORE leashes combine knots, reinforced stitching with nanocord, and protective pieces, creating different security points in one of the areas that bears the most tension during walks.

Are all CORE leashes hands-free?

Yes, all of our CORE leashes can be used hands-free, although, to be honest, we don't love calling them that.

Your dog's walk deserves your attention. It is their time to explore, sniff, move, and, also, a moment of connection between the two of you.

That said, all CORE leashes are multi-position thanks to our GOS Slider sliding ring. You can adjust the regulation point and wear it across your body, around your waist, in your hand, or adapt its length depending on the moment of the walk.

Can you wear it without using your hands? Yes. Does that mean forgetting who is on the other end of the leash? We hope not.

How do I know that the set point won't shift or "throttle" me?

The GOS Slider does not slide freely along the leash. It uses a system based on a Prusik knot, a type of friction hitch that locks onto the rope when it is under tension.

This means you can slide it and change its position when you want to adjust the leash, but when there is tension, friction keeps it in place.

That is why, when you use the CORE cross-body or around your waist, the adjustment point should not progressively close from your dog's tugs.

In addition, you can reposition it as many times as you need to adapt the leash configuration for each walk.

What happens if it breaks or I have any issues with my product?

First: stop using it, especially if the issue affects any part related to your dog's safety.

Next, write to us explaining what happened and, if possible, send us some photos so we can review the case.

We manufacture our products to last, but we also know that dogs, walks, and daily use can put them to the test. We review each case individually and, if there is a manufacturing or product defect, we will look for the appropriate solution.

Even if some time has passed since your purchase, we prefer that you write to us. We are interested in knowing how our products age in real life and helping you whenever it is in our power to do so.

How do I wash my leash or harness?

Dogs + mud + puddles + walks = sooner or later you'll have to wash them.

For routine care, we recommend washing the leash or harness in the washing machine at 30ºC using a laundry bag and mild soap, after first removing any large clumps of dirt.

Afterward, let it air dry completely, avoiding direct heat sources.

Avoid harsh products, bleach, or fabric softeners, as they can damage the materials and their finishes.
